Mullens Markings is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our this role youll support payroll certified payroll accounting and office operations while helping ensure our employees are paid accurately and our branch operates efficiently.

- Process and review employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare review and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects.
- Ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act requirements and project labor compliance regulations.
- Process payroll changes and support employee onboarding.
- Enter accounts payable invoices and supporting documentation.
- Order office supplies and coordinate branch employee engagement activities.
- Administer the branch Safety Bingo program.
- Serve as backup to the Accounting Manager by assisting with:
- Customer invoicing and billing
- Collections and outstanding receivables
- Accounting data entry
- Maryland sales tax reporting
- Vehicle registration and renewals
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of Certified Payroll experience preferably in construction or heavy civil.
- 2 years of general accounting or payroll experience.
- Experience with QuickBooks Time or similar timekeeping software preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Strong organizational communication and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
