Paver Operator (Asphalt Road Construction) Columbia, SC

• Operate asphalt pavers to place hot mix asphalt according to project specifications
• Control paving speed depth and alignment to ensure a consistent high-quality mat
• Work closely with the screed operator and crew to maintain proper material flow
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Communicate effectively with crew members to keep projects on schedule
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA and safety standards

• Experience operating asphalt pavers in roadwork or heavy civil construction
• Strong understanding of paving operations and equipment controls
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Experience working alongside screed and roller operators preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

• Physically demanding role including climbing lifting up to 60 lbs and extended periods of equipment operation
• Exposure to outdoor conditions heat noise and asphalt materials
• Use of PPE required at all times
