Job Summary
- The applicant should be proficient in various computer skills and software to include Microsoft Office and web-based communication tools.
- Applicant should be detail oriented and have a very strong customer focus and possess a working knowledge of pavement design and construction including: mixture types pavement thickness design and pavement maintenance.
- Excellent written verbal and electronic communication skills are a must. A degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- Relevant work experience will be considered. Must possess a working knowledge of the Ohio Department of Transportation Construction & Materials Specifications.
- Registration in the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer is preferred. Salary based on experience and qualifications
The following is a list of the primary duties of this position. This list is not all inclusive and there may be additional duties added or removed at the discretion of the Executive Director.
- Communicates technical information and assistance to FPO members public and private pavement owners through written documentation oral presentations and in person events.
- Performs field assessments including onsite project review pre-construction asphalt design and mixture recommendations and post construction evaluation.
- Represents the interests of the industry before state federal and local government agencies and affiliated industry committees and associations.
- Develops training provides instruction and technical presentations.
- Assists in developing written technical publications and articles.
