Job Summary

Job Overview

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) youll support nurses in caring for critically ill highâacuity patients. Youll assist with hygiene mobility vital signs documentation and provide compassionate bedside care including support for patients nearing end of life. Your steady presence and attention to detail help ensure safe highâquality care during patients most vulnerable moments.

What Youll Do

  • Provide direct patient care including bathing oral care toileting and linens
  • Support safe mobility including repositioning and transfers
  • Monitor and record vital signs
  • Document patient information accurately
  • This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations
  • Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

About the Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU)

The STICU cares for highâacuity surgical and trauma patients offering a fastâpaced environment where PCTs develop strong clinical judgment and handsâon skills. Youll work closely with ICU nurses and providers gaining experience that prepares you for longâterm growth in critical care and advanced clinical pathways.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Completion of required PCT classes for the unit
