Patient Care Technician Cardiac Neuro (PCT)

Job Overview

As a PCT on the Cardiac Neuro Unit youll support nurses in caring for cardiac neuro medicalâsurgical and ICU stepdown patients who require close monitoring. Youll assist with hygiene mobility vital signs documentation and provide compassionate bedside care including support for patients nearing the end of life. Your steady presence and attention to detail help ensure patients receive safe highâquality care.

What Youll Do

• Assist with bathing oral care toileting and linens
• Support safe mobility repositioning and transfers
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Document patient information accurately
• This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations
• Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

About the Cardiac Neuro Unit

The Cardiac Neuro Unit is a 19âbed blendedâscope unit caring for cardiac neuro and ICU stepdown patients with 8 beds designated for stepdown. The team cares for complex patients who require close monitoring. The unit offers a strong teamwork culture focused on safe highâquality care.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of required PCT classes for the unit
