What does the PCT role entail

• Deliver safe hygienic and compassionate dialysis care
• Monitor patients before during and after treatment
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
• Record vital signs and patient data
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
• Collaborate with nurses dietitians social workers and other care team members
• Rotating Schedule of 3 to 4 day work weeks including rotating Saturdays with Sunday off
• Must be flexible to work early morning and late evening hours starting and ending times can range from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm.
• Average hours range from 10 to 14 hours a day

What does a successful PCT look like

• High School Diploma (HSD) or GED *Please Note this is a State Requirement to obtain a Hemodialysis Certification
• Comfortable working around blood and needles mixing acid or bicarb
• Desire to enter the healthcare field to care for other people in need
• Flexibility and availability to work mornings evenings weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to work in a fast paced setting as part of a team while managing multiple responsibilities at a time
• Healthcare experience a plus including: BONENT Certified Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy certification.
