Patient Care Coordinator (Part-Time)

As a Patient Care Coordinator you play a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience from the moment someone contacts our office through the completion of their treatment plan.

• Verify patient insurance eligibility benefits deductibles copayments coinsurance and coverage limitations prior to treatment.
• Obtain and track prior authorizations referrals and precertifications to ensure timely patient care.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding authorization status medical necessity requirements and benefit questions.
• Notify patients of insurance benefits estimated financial responsibility and any authorization requirements.
• Monitor authorization expiration dates and approved visit counts to prevent interruptions in patient care.
• Work closely with therapists and billing staff to ensure accurate documentation supports authorization and reimbursement requirements
• Maintain thorough documentation of insurance communications and authorization activity within the electronic medical record.

Qualifications :

• One year of medical front office experience is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Dependable self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities
• Positive attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
