Join our hospital based practice in Austin TX! Our mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of our communities as a leader in anatomic pathology laboratory solutions. The Pathologist Assistant role assists in the performance of surgical pathology services in a hospital based setting.

Location: Austin TX 78701
Days: Monday - Friday. No weekends no on-call

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

Essential Key Responsibilities:

• Perform macroscopic evaluations on simple and complex specimens
• Frozen section coverage
• Triage fresh tissue for lymphoma
• Assist pathologist in obtaining pertinent pathology reports on malignant cases
• Gather material for tumor board presentations
• Maintain the dissecting space (ie. temperature logs stain line supplies)

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant program
• ASCP licensure (or eligible with completion within 30 days of hire)

Experience:

• New graduates from a NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant program welcome.
