Parts Purchasing Agent

What we are looking for:

Aldridge is seeking an experienced Parts Purchasing Agent to join our talented Fleet this role you will actively order track and reconcile parts and materials for our fleet warehouse. This role is highly organized hands-on and critical to supporting mechanics and keeping a safe work environment.

What youll do:

  • Oversee purchase orders and net term requirements; communicate and partner with accounts payable to ensure vendor payments are made in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with Fleet Parts Associate to ensure proper levels of inventory across parts and materials from vendors
  • Manage receipt receiving and storage of parts orders from third party and internal vendors
  • Leverage systems and technology to track report close and communicate issues related to vendor orders
  • Interact proactively and regularly with personnel from the fleet yard accounting and third-party vendors

Who you are:

  • Must have prior heavy truck or automotive parts experience
  • Current drivers license (non-CDL) and clean driving history
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Experience with parts warehouse work flow and processing
  • General knowledge of desktop computer applications and electronic purchase order systems
  • General knowledge of construction equipment; preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Possesses a strong sense of responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks and projects
  • Physical job requirements include being able to lift up to 50 lbs

What we offer:

The hourly pay for this role is between $25 - $30. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors including: location work experience education training transferable skills business needs and market conditions.
