Job Summary

Bishop Dunne Catholic School is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Learning Services Aide.The Learning Services Aidesupports the Learning Services Department in serving students with diverse learning needs. Reporting to the Assistant Principal of Academics this role assists with academic and testing accommodations classroom support and administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing approved academic accommodations and learning support plans.
  • Proctor quizzes tests and exams requiring accommodations such as extended time reduced distraction environments or read-aloud support.
  • Monitor testing environments to ensure compliance with school policies and accommodation plans.
  • Help schedule students for testing and academic support sessions.
  • Prepare classroom materials copies and educational resources as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance testing accommodations and support services.
  • Provide academic support to students individually and in small-group settings.
  • Encourage student self-advocacy independence and personal responsibility.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student educational records and accommodations.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelors degree in education psychology special education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting middle and high school students with learning differences ADHD executive functioning challenges or other academic support needs.
  • Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational technology.
  • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and varying learning needs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete a background check and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program

Compensation:$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

Must be available to work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Work schedule may vary based on departmental needs the school calendar holidays special events and other operational requirements. Flexibility in days and hours is required.
