Part Time Intervention Teacher

The Adair County School District is seeking a qualified individual to provide intervention support both in and outside core classroom as directed by school principal. Individual must obtain current teaching certification.

Adair County Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered individual to serve in an ESS Intervention Position. This position will provide targeted academic support to students in both reading and mathematics helping students strengthen foundational skills close learning gaps and experience academic success.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and/or individualized interventions in reading and mathematics.
• Work with students who need additional academic support beyond core classroom instruction.
• Use student assessment and progress-monitoring data to identify specific areas of need and guide intervention.
• Deliver targeted skill-based instruction aligned with grade-level standards and individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on student performance.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers intervention staff and school administration to support student achievement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of intervention services and student progress.
• Build positive relationships with students and create an encouraging environment where students feel supported and capable of growth.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with elementary-aged students.
• Possess a strong understanding of foundational reading and mathematics skills.
• Be comfortable providing instruction to individuals and small groups.
• Be able to use student data to make instructional decisions.
• Demonstrate patience flexibility dependability and strong communication skills.
• Believe that all students can grow when provided with the right support and instruction.
