Job Summary

Perform the day-to-day operations of instructional programs onthe assigned campus.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide instruction for courses at a variety of times and locations.
  • Demonstratea commitment to student engagement student success and instructionalexcellence.
  • Maintainaccess to students through posted office hours and electronic communication.
  • Prepare and utilize a course syllabus and assessments foreach course using guidelines established by the institution.
  • Maintaincurrent knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilize a variety ofinstructional delivery methods classroom media and educational resources.
  • Advisestudents in academic matters.
  • Evaluate student performance through a variety of meansto measure progress while informing students in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development distribution and collection ofassessments for courses and program objectives.
  • Providerecommendations to the AcademicDean Assistant Dean DepartmentHeads and Curriculum Resource Teams regarding curriculum.
  • Demonstratea positive and professional relationship with students colleagues collegeadministration and the community.
  • Provide information requested of all faculty.
  • Submit timely college reports and forms to the appropriate divisions/departments.
  • Exhibit acommitment to lifelong learning through participation in professionaldevelopment activities.
  • Possess a passion for teaching community college students.
  • Demonstrate effectivecommunication skills both written and orally.
  • Attend collegeorientation and requiredinstitutional meetings.
  • Responsible for other relatedduties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications/Required Degree License or Certifications

  • Masters degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics or statistics; or bachelors degree with at least 12 hours in undergraduate mathematics. All coursework must be from an accredited college or university.
  • Teaching Experience (either at the college or secondary level) required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College teaching experience including teaching college-level STEM mathematics courses such as Calculus.
  • Ph.D. M.S. or M.A. in Mathematics
