Job Summary
- BASIC PURPOSE
To create and maintain the appearance of college grounds.
*This position is 25 hours per week from 6am to 11am with some flexibility.
**This job requires a drug screening and a motor vehicle report as part of the pre-employment process.- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Winter: Snow removal equipment maintenance litter liners and upkeep; assists other departments as needed.
- Spring: Planting mulching edging mowing and campus upkeep; assists with maintaining college property athletic fields and other departments as needed.
- Summer: Mowing watering weeding plant care trimming campus upkeep and equipment maintenance; assists with maintaining college property athletic fields and other departments as needed.
- Fall: Leaf removal mowing trimming planting campus upkeep and equipment maintenance; assists with maintaining college property athletic fields and other departments as needed.
- ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Education/Training/Work Experience:
- High school diploma GED or 1-2 years of work related experience required
- Valid PA Drivers License required
- Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
- Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description
- Must work outdoors in all types of weather
- Proficient knowledge of and ability to operate tractors mowers dump trucks and snow removal equipment
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Additional Information Required:
- Ability to read write and follow routine instructions
- Ability to work within a team oriented setting
- Physical Requirements:
- Must have a good sense of balance; required to work at various heights.
- Moderate physical strength is required.
- Common outdoor allergies should not inhibit job performance.
