At the heart of this work is Regenerate 68! Farm a 68-acre working demonstration site located just off Highway 68 in Monterey County on the historic Ferrini Ranch. Launched in 2025 the farm is a living classroom for regenerative organic agriculture training and outcomes-based farming practices led by innovators in soil health biodiversity and climate resilience. By growing nutrient-rich crops using regenerative methods that restore soil sequester carbon increase biodiversity and conserve water the farm embodies the future of food that Regenerative California is working to build.

Position Summary:
Regenerative California is seeking a passionate and driven Farm Assistant to join the team at Regenerate 68! Farm starting immediately through November 15 2026. This is a part-time role (2030 hours/week) working side-by-side with Regenerative Californias Farm Manager to learn build and manage a regenerative organic farm from the ground up.

No prior farming experience is required just the drive to make a meaningful difference by building living soil and growing food that nourishes communities. This is a rare opportunity to get paid to learn the craft of next-generation farming while contributing to a mission with real regional and statewide impact.
Primary Responsibilities
The Farm Assistant will be involved in all aspects of farm operations including:
- Design and implementation of farm systems and infrastructure
- Field and nursery work
- Seeding and transplanting
- Irrigation management and pest management
- Harvest wash and pack operations
- Operation of BCS tractor and various farm tools
- Distribution support and community relationship-building

You are someone who believes in the power of soil and youre ready to get your hands in it. You dont need years of farming experience; what you bring is curiosity grit and a genuine desire to be part of something bigger than yourself.
You are bilingual and able to communicate effectively with a diverse team and community. You are a solutions-oriented self-starter who thrives in a dynamic outdoor environment and doesnt shy away from physical work or changing weather conditions. You show up ready to learn contribute ideas and grow into a leadership role on the farm.
You care about regenerative practices not just as a job but as a way of engaging with the land and the people who depend on it. Youre the kind of person who builds trust naturally with your team with chefs with neighbors and with the soil itself.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish strongly preferred)
- Able to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Eagerness to learn farm operations equipment and regenerative practices
- Experience or interest in agriculture environmental work or community food systems is a plus!
Workplace Compensation & Application
Workplace & Schedule: This is an on-site position at Regenerate 68! Farm located off Highway 68 in Monterey County CA. Hours range from 2030 hours per week depending on farm needs and may include early mornings and weekends during peak seasons.
Term: Immediate start through November 15 2026 with potential for transition to full time employment (dependent on future organizational needs and funding).
Compensation: $25/hour
