Job Summary
Responsible for processing consumer loans from branches call centers and internal service centers. Prepare loan documents and fund loans within the requirements of the loan policies established by the Credit Union.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare fund and package loans.
- Perform employment verifications/income verifications ensure accuracy of loan contracts and make decision within limits.
- File and organize all incoming and outgoing documents for example: applications and contracts.
- Maintain and mail flood zone and initial discloser documents.
- Process indirect cross sell visa offers.
- Assist in daily and month-end balancing and report preparation.
- Able to work and maintain a positive relationship with third party vendors.
- Participate in department and credit union projects that pertain to consumer loan products.
- Assist branches and all assigned sales teams in completing loans with correct and accurate information.
- Communicate regarding issues or concerns with branches and all assigned sales teams.
- Review incoming loan applications to verify required information is compliant with checklist.
- Daily record keeping on incoming loans and distribution of files to the appropriate branch.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel with the ability to write proposals and develop spreadsheets pertaining to department functions.
- Able to audit our own products and stay up to date with on state requirements with titles vesting etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma / GED preferred. Must be organized. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records. Ability to cope with high pressured situations. Knowledge of general lending policies. Understanding of Credit Union and department goals and objectives. Proficient in math 10 key and computer usage. Ability to complete work accurately with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented. Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Performance Standard:
Demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members dealerships and other Credit Union staff. Professional in appearance and dependable with attendance quality and quantity of work performed. Self-motivated and willing to take steps to continually expand knowledge of financial industry. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork filing stapling sorting collating typing counting cash etc.).
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper cash drawers marketing material etc.
- Repetitive motion using wrists hands and fingers.
- Reach keyboards.
- Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator computer telephone copy machine fax machine etc.).
