Part Time Character Education Resource Specialist

What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Part-Time Character Education Resource Specialist. This role supports the Character in Deeds initiative by translating character education research and the Baylor Character Education Framework into clear practical tools and resources for faculty staff and students. This role bridges scholarship and practicehelping ensure that research-informed character formation strategies are accessible usable and actionable across campus. A bachelors degree and two years of relevant work experience required. A doctoral degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred. A combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of one another.
Additional requirements include:
- Strong writing and synthesis skills
- Experience developing educational or organizational resources
- Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible language
- Experience in higher education nonprofit or faith-based settings preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Translate research findings in character education into practical strategies and best practices for faculty coaches and staff
- Develop toolkits guides case studies and implementation resources aligned with the Baylor Character Education Framework
- Support the development of design tools for courses and programs
- Synthesize emerging insights from campus initiatives into transferable resources
- Support dissemination efforts (e.g. web content short briefs internal communication materials)
- Attend most Wednesday project meetings to remain grounded in the work and identify translation needs in real time
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
