Position	HISTORY PART-TIME ADJUNCT PROFESSOR
Division:	LIBERAL ARTS AND HUMANITIES
Department:	HISTORY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE
Reports to:	Chair History and Political Science
Position Summary	The Division of Liberal Arts and Humanities is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to facilitate courses in African American History by delivering high-quality instruction in flexible formats including in person and potentially hybrid or online classes. Adjunct faculty play a critical role in supporting student success particularly for non-traditional students balancing education with work family and other responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities *The results you will deliver each day that matter most!*	Teach assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum and academic standards Facilitate engaging student-centered learning experiences tailored to adult learners Provide clear course expectations timely feedback and fair assessment of student performance Maintain regular communication with students and respond promptly to questions or concerns Foster an inclusive respectful and supportive classroom environment Submit required documentation including syllabi attendance grades and course reports in a timely manner Participate in departmental meetings or training sessions Other duties as assigned
Education/ Experience *What you will need to be successful!*	Masters degree in the teaching discipline or a related field (required); doctorate preferred for some subject areas Prior teaching experience in higher education adult education or a related setting preferred Experience working with adult or non-traditional students strongly preferred Strong communication organization and interpersonal skills Ability to teach in flexible schedules including evenings and weekends Experience teaching blended hybrid and online classes are a plus.
