Parkview Healthis actively recruiting aNeonatologistto join their well-established team inFort Wayne Indiana.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 12-hour shifts andweekend hours
• The Neonatology team provides 24 hour/7 days a week inpatient care
• Bedside rounding on NICU patients daily
• New patient admissions
• Patient discharges
• Inpatient prenatal consultations
• Outpatient prenatal consultations
• Inpatient newborn nursery consultations
• Transports of high risk infants within 16-county service area.
• Phone consultations with other physician staff (at PRMC and in the community at large)
• NICU procedures including but not limited to:
  • Intubations umbilical venous catheters umbilical arterial catheters needle thoracentesis chest tube placement lumbar punctures peripherally inserted central catheters (all PICCS are placed/managed by NNP staff) peripheral artery line placement peripheral IV placement exchange transfusions etc.

• Will join a team which currently consists of 8Neonatologistsand 6Neonatal Nurse PractitionersatParkviewRegional Medical Center
• We provide specialized care for newborns. Our neonatologists remain within the hospital covering the Parkview Newborn Intensive Care Unit 24/7.
