JOB OPPORTUNITY

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Parking Enforcement Officer in the Berkeley Police Department! In this role you will have the opportunity to help maintain a safe City by patrolling assigned areas to enforce parking regulations ordinances and laws. Youll issue citations for a variety of parking violations place warning tags on vehicles subject to towing and maintain records of work performed.

A typical way of gaining the knowledge skills and abilities for this position is:
Equivalent to graduation from high school and two (2) years of experience involving considerable public contact including dealing with hostile and irate individuals.

EXAM PROCESS

Applicants passing all examination phases will have their names placed on an employment eligible list that hiring departments will use to conduct final selection interviews.
