Parking Attendant (Part-Time)

The City of Rahway Parking Utility is recruiting a part-time Parking Attendant. Duties include a variety of routine repetitive noncomplex tasks which involve monitoring directing and assisting patrons entering and exiting the garage per established procedures; monitoring all parking properties including the garage; reporting any problems or incidents; light cleaning; snow removal; and other job duties outlined in and not limited to the Civil Service Commission title Parking Attendant ( Applicants must also maintain and uphold all policies and procedures; represent the City in a professional and courteous manner; maintain a neat and clean appearance; and remain in uniform during scheduled shifts. Job qualifications are ability to read and write English follow direction - both oral and written have no convictions of any offense which would make candidate unfit to perform such duties a valid NJ drivers license; ability to work a flexible schedule (including weekends nights and holidays); ability to lift heavy objects learn and implement new technology/equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
