Parent Tutor (ILP) (SY26-27)

TITLE:Parent Tutor - Intergenerational Literacy Program

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Tutor in a class of up to 20 learners under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Engage with learners in small groups using authentic materials that emphasize topics of learner interest
• Provide feedback to learners during classroom instruction while suggesting additional strategies they can use to support their English language comprehension and fluency
• Support learners in using program technology during classroom instruction
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the program director

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working proficiency in English
• Experience working in education
• Knowledge of family literacy ESOL ABE preferred
• Proficiency in Spanish Portuguese or Arabic preferred
• An adult who has participated in the Intergenerational Literacy Program (ILP) preferred
• U.S. Citizen or work authorization

HOURS: 8 - 19.5 hours per week 38 weeks per year

SALARY:$21.00
