Hello Medical Paraprofessionals! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Medical Paraprofessional to support students in a Multi-Intensive Special Education classroom in Boulder CO. This role is ideal for someone with both medical/nursing experience and a strong background working in public-school Special Education settings.

Youll work closely with students who have significant medical and educational needs while collaborating with teachers nurses and other school staff to provide safe consistent and compassionate support.

• Provide direct support to students throughout the school day

• Assist with personal care including diapering female students

• Provide G-tube feeding and cleaning support

• Assist with students who use vents

• Support students with daily routines transitions and classroom activities

• Follow medical and safety protocols under the direction of appropriate school staff

• Collaborate with teachers nurses Special Education staff and related service providers

• Maintain a safe supportive and positive classroom environment

• Adapt to changing student and classroom needs as part of a collaborative team
  

• Minimum 2 years of Special Education classroom experience

• Nursing or Nurses Aide experience required

• Comfortable providing hands-on medical and personal care

• Experience or comfort with G-tube feeding vents seizure protocols and diapering

• Reliable transportation required

• Flexible dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to follow medical safety and classroom procedures consistently
