Paraprofessional 11 (Yoder Learning Center)

A 1:1 Paraprofessional provides individualized instructional behavioral and personal support to a designated student throughout the school day. Working under the direction of the classroom teacher and other educational professionals this position helps the student access the curriculum achieve Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals develop independence and participate successfully in the school environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide one-on-one academic behavioral and social-emotional support to an assigned student.
• Assist in implementing the students Individualized Education Program (IEP) behavior intervention plan and other educational supports.
• Reinforce instruction and learning activities as directed by the classroom teacher and intervention team.
• Support the students communication organization self-regulation and daily routines.
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs when required while maintaining the students dignity and privacy.
• Monitor student progress and document observations behaviors and interventions as required.
• Promote a safe positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise the assigned student during classroom instruction transitions lunch recess transportation and other school activities as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers related service providers administrators and families to support student success.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district policies procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
