Paramedic Fire Department (FD11G17)

Responds to calls for assistance involving emergency medical situations including cardiac problems breath difficulties childbirth strokes seizures sports and automobile accidents and other traumatic and medical medical histories and current event information; determines appropriate aid and response with medical personnel via 2-way radio and telephone regarding injured persons condition vitals and other relevant treatment and/or participates in training exercises and continuing education to maintain public functions to provide emergency medical response as public safety demonstrations and required reports and medical medication and therapy or treatment to patients on site or in that each call is handled appropriately according to the level of care station building and related duties.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITIONKnowledge of emergency medical practices techniques and of radio of the procedures for handling special equipment and patient care of city streets and of state and federal of departmental and safety policies and of city policies and in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of in the operation of medical in the provision of medical care under emergency in oral and written in interpersonal relations.
