Job Summary

This is a senior level position responsible for a variety of Immigration Paralegal and case management responsibilities. This position will require overtime.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients their employees and families to provide comprehensive immigration service through the entire application process including responses to applications requests for evidence interviews and compliance
  • Prepare manage and monitor a wide variety of business-based nonimmigrant petitions including H-1B H-3 TN E J-1 L-1 and O-1
  • Oversee a variety of business based immigrant matters from initiation through approval including PERM Labor Certification I-140 EB-1 etc.
  • Respond to RFEs
  • Assist with application and obtaining work visas with U.S. consular offices abroad
  • Compile and maintain records of immigration forms other documentation and records of activity on behalf of corporate clients employees
  • Actively manage case load using online case management system and reporting
  • Serve as key contact with client and foreign nationals; direct and manage communications; prioritize responses from legal team
  • Perform research using all available immigration research tools including government agency websites
  • Mentor and delegate work to junior Paralegals and Project Assistants
  • All other projects as assigned by an Attorney or the Paralegal Manager.

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • BA/BS with strong academic credentials
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Formally and LawLogix or other Immigration focused applications
  • Minimum of 10 years of Business Immigration experience

Preferred:

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved school
  • Proficient using technology

The target salary range for this role is:

$108000 - $130000 if located in Illinois.

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors including but not limited to the relevant market skills experience and education of the selected candidate.
