Under the direction of an assigned supervisor assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help social and community skills.
SCOE Para Educator Severe ApplicationEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience in working with children or individuals with & DEGREES: This position requires the SCOE Para Proficiency Test certificate. The following CAN be substituted for the SCOE Para Proficiency Test: NCLB/ESSA Test certificate from Stanislaus County CBEST or transcripts showing minimum of 48 college units or date AA Degree or higher level degree was awarded (transcripts can be unofficial). PLEASE ATTACH A COPY TO YOUR APPLICATION. The following are NOT required at the time of application but will be required if offered employment: DOJ Fingerprint clearance TB Clearance Lift Test/Drug Screen clearance
