Line Packer 1st Shift Openings

Summary:

Responsible for supervising the issuing and application of the product labels to operational lines or filling stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Assist in staging materials for the packaging of product on the bottle lines in accordance with the production work orders.

Verify all materials are accurately staged in accordance with the work order requirements.

Stack product cartons in accordance with standard carton patterns.

Incumbent is required to lift 50 to 75 pounds for a period of 6-8 hours per day.

Verify carton labeling and marking is in accordance with the work order.

Place Bar Code for complete pallet onto a top carton to signify to the material handler the product is complete and ready for removal to the wrapping equipment. Verify all materials are accurately staged in accordance with the work order requirements.

Properly package product into specified cartons assuring proper tapping and labeling of the carton. Additional sprayers or literature may also be required to be placed in the carton.

Inspection: Review product that is being packaged into cartons for the following criteria; Proper fill label orientation and print quality bottle date code cap secured exterior product spill carton quality. Assist with the set up of the following line components: Bottle Date Coder:

Install labels.

Align feed conveyor and out take conveyor.

Adjust position of the label on the box.

Perform work assigned in accordance to company production standards and rates. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area as established by plant policy. Must adhere to all company safety and health policies. Utilizes company equipment with proper use and care notifies maintenance of any equipment needs to assure safe operation.
