JOB TITLE: Avionics Technician
LOCATION: Irvine CA
PAY RATE: $42/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Long-term 12 month contract with strong potential to convert to a full-time direct position after 6 months for top performers

  • Security Clearance: Not required

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Work on cutting-edge aviation systems (manned & unmanned)

  • Hands-on technical role with real impact

  • Collaborative engineering environment

  • Build modify route and install aircraft wiring harnesses and electrical components

  • Perform functional and operational testing of avionics and electrical systems

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues on newly installed or modified systems

  • Read and interpret schematics wiring diagrams and technical manuals

  • Work in confined aircraft spaces (cockpits avionics bays ECS compartments)

  • Use hand tools (crimpers strippers cutters) and testing equipment (multimeters etc.)

  • Document maintenance repairs and parts usage accurately

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and other technical personnel

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3 years of recent avionics electrical or aerospace experience

  • Mix of office hangar and industrial/warehouse environments

  • Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems and avionics theory

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and documentation

  • Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly and installation

  • Comfortable working in tight spaces and performing detailed technical tasks

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally

  • Frequent standing climbing stooping and movement between work areas

  • May involve crawling working inside aircraft and occasional outdoor work

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
