General Purpose: Serves guests

Essential Duties:

• Maintain professional appearance
• Starts players on the first tee explaining the rules of play for the day.
• Maintains an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cues groups to move to the first tee and makes sure not more than one group is on the tee at on time
• Tours the golf course assisting players when needed to maintain the posted pace of play for the day.
• Checks the restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintains proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
• Completes the golfer tracking report on a daily basis.
• Reminds players of the cart rules of the day.
• Repairs ball marks and collects any trash that may be on the course. Replaces any hazard stakes or directional signage.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop and Starter on a regular basis.
• Monitors the course and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assists golfers when needed.
• Reports all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Provides information regarding the golf course play time and other golf-related inquiries
• Provides excellent customer service to arriving guests expediting the checkâin process
• Verifies all revenues have been properly recorded through receipt inspection before starting a game
• Keeps golf shop personnel informed regarding pace of play based off of the first tee
• Supplies guests with scorecards pencils and other items as needed
• Advises guests of course conditions and expected pace of play
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must have a valid drivers license (if driving golf carts or range equipment)
• Must have a strong work ethic
• Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
• Organized able to work well in fast paced environment
• Must have strong customer/guest orientation
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years Server experience preferred
• Proven exemplary customer service skills
• 2 years experience with a restaurant POS software platform

Physical Demands

• While performing the required duties of this job the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and hands
• The employee often is required to walk stand talk or hear handle feel or operate objects
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally
• The employee will occasionally be required to sit stoop kneel crouch or crawl
• Specific vision abilities include close distance color and peripheral vision and depth perception
• Moderate exposure to extreme cold heat working outdoors mechanical hazards and electrical hazards
• Noise level is moderately quiet
• Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
• Work weekends and holidays

Certificates/Licenses

• Must have a valid Drivers License
• Job Knowledge Skill and Ability Preferences
• Possesses basic math skills
• Regular and reliable attendance
