Job Summary

Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Outreach Coordinator position is based at the Transfer Success Office at the College of Western Idaho in Nampa and serves as a recruiter and resource for prospective transfer students. The position develops and maintains transfer recruitment pipelines builds strategic partnerships with community college and university stakeholders and provides personalized guidance to support students throughout the transfer and enrollment addition to recruitment and student support this role coordinates day-to-day site operations implements outreach initiatives and helps strengthen the transfer pathways and campus processes that improve access and promote successful student transitions to Boise State.

This position is not eligible for a hybrid/remote work schedule. This role is based at the College of Western Idaho (CWI) in Nampa.

The Transfer Success Team provides essential services to help students from their first day at their community college to explore degree options navigate articulation agreements and apply to the university. We guide transfer students through every step of the process ensuring they understand credit portability and the overall transition to Boise State while providing personalized support throughout their journey. We serve students from local Idaho community colleges out-of-state community colleges and adult learners returning to complete their degrees. Level Scope:

Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of areas typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies processes and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Be the on-site representative for the Boise State Center for Transfer Success located at the College of Western Idaho.
Proactively contact prospective transfer students to help them understand their options at Boise State.
Provide student services including program guidance transfer assistance and advising.
Plan and coordinate events such as information sessions education fairs and group presentations.
Build relationships with community college stakeholders to expand educational access.
Maintain a welcoming organized and professional site environment.
Strategically develop and manage outreach programs to meet enrollment and partnership goals
Serve as the primary point of contact for educational outreach programs and stakeholders.
Represent Boise State at community events building long-term partnerships with organizations and institutions.
Manage outreach center sites including staff and operational needs.
This position requires a candidate who proactively networks and builds strong working relationships in both remote and in-person settings fostering meaningful connections across campuses and communities.
The candidate should expect to staff the office at CWI daily and travel within the Treasure Valley weekly for meetings and events.
Travel will be required and can include traveling during days evenings or weekends.
May perform other duties as needed.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

High level of customer service and attention to detail.
In-depth understanding of the rural adult non-traditional transfer and first-generation student populations their characteristics and unique needs.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to work in an environment that values the abilities perspectives skills and collaboration of individuals from all backgrounds.
Public speaking and ability to represent the University to communities and leaders.
Proficiency with Google G Suite and Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Demonstrated experience with rural education and rural communities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

MinimumQualifications:

Bachelors or Advanced Degree and 5 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

A valid Drivers License to travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications;

Masters degree in a related field
1-2 years of experience:

o Utilizing a CRM or higher education software such as Slate PeopleSoft or Perceptive to document interactions and verify student information.
o Planning and implementing outreach public speaking events recruitment or marketing initiatives that engage prospective students customers or community members and achieve measurable participation or engagement outcomes.
o Creating and managing written or digital communications (e.g. email campaigns social media newsletters or marketing materials) that support recruitment enrollment or engagement goals.
o Building and maintaining partnerships with schools employers community organizations or other external stakeholders.
