We are seeking a skilled compassionate and motivated Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join a collaborative care team in Wabash Indiana. Youll work in a fast-paced outpatient setting with a diverse orthopedic caseload sports injuries post-operative cases joint replacements and chronic musculoskeletal conditions with close collaboration with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients using clinical tests medical history and observation to develop individualized treatment plans
- Design and implement interventions for joint replacements sports injuries sprains/strains post-surgical rehab work-related injuries and balance disorders
- Apply evidence-based techniques including manual therapy therapeutic exercise neuromuscular re-education and modalities as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs injury prevention and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations progress notes and discharge summaries in compliance with professional and legal standards
- Participate in staff meetings continuing education and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- DPT or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Indiana PT license (or eligible)
- CPR certification
- Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred
- 1 year of outpatient orthopedic PT experience (new grads with strong clinical rotations considered)
- Specialty certification or training: McKenzie Maitland Dry Needling or Graston
- Familiarity with EMR systems
