The Harborview Prosthetics and Orthotics Clinics have an outstanding opportunity for an Orthotist-Prosthetist Technician.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Be responsible for providing technical support to the orthotic-prosthetic practitioners utilizing specialized skills to fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices.
This work will be completed at multiple UW Medicine facilities including the Prosthetic-Orthotic Laboratory inpatient and outpatient locations at Harborview Medical Center and inpatient and outpatient locations at UWMC.
The Orthotist-Prosthetist Technician must work collaboratively with the members of the rehabilitation team and effectively communicate with team members patients families and community resource representatives.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform fabrication techniques for prosthetic and orthotic devices including lamination procedures finishing processes for orthoses and prostheses prosthetic bench alignment vacuuming forming of orthoses and prosthesis and cast preparation.
Fabricate footwear following specific patient requirements and fit specifications as determined by P&O provider.
Prepare positive models for lamination or vacuum forming.
Perform finishing processes for fabricating procedures done to clinician satisfaction.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of an accredited Orthotics-Prosthetics Technician program
OR
equivalent education/experience.
