Job Title: OR Tech / Surgical Tech
Location: WestonFlorida
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced OR Tech / Surgical Tech for a 13-week assignment at a respected teaching hospital in Florida. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong operating room experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment and floating between departments as needed.
Shift Details:
- Day Shift 3x12s
- Shift options discussed during interview
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper surgical instrument handling
- Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
- Assist with patient positioning room turnover and equipment setup
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols
- Float within scope based on facility needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR Tech / Surgical Tech experience
- BLS certification required
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must be comfortable floating to sister facilities if needed
- Pending licenses not accepted
