Essential Job Functions:
- Listen and address needs of patients as evidenced by company standards and policies.
- Answer the phones and communicate patients needs to the Opticians and Optical Technicians.
- Efficiently take orders for contact lenses create contact lens encounters and order lenses from ABB or other supplier.
- Navigate insurance websites to assist patients with the available benefits and cost associated with their plan.
- Sell and create encounters for accessories.
- Learn the lensometer.
- Oversee Frame Inventory.
Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to maintain high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task work in a fast-paced environment and manage time accordingly in order to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position based in Mt. Pleasant SC. (Belle Hall-Location)
- Full-time position with days and hours Monday through Thursday 8:30AM-4:30PM and Friday 8:30AM-3:00PM
- Travel to other locations as necessary
Education and Experience:
- A high school graduate or equivalent (required)
- Excellent communication and listening skills in order to properly address patient needs (required)
- Customer Service or service-related experience is a plus (required)
- US Eye will train the candidate and this would be a great entry level position to develop a career in Opticianry.
