| Job Description: | School Bus Driver transporting K-12 students on field trips and to athletic events. Out of town travel as well as evening and occasional overnight trips required. Section 234.091 - General Qualifications - Each school bus driver shall be of good moral character of good vision and hearing able-bodied free from communicable disease mentally alert and sufficiently strong physically to handle the bus with ease and to make emergency repairs and s/he shall possess such other qualifications as are prescribed by the State Board and s/he shall hold a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement. Prior to transporting students on a school bus each driver shall meet the following requirements: Hold a Florida Commercial Drivers License and Endorsements as appropriate and required by law. Demonstrate the ability to prepare required written reports. Be physically capable of operating the vehicle as determined by an annual physical examination. Demonstrate physical and mental capabilities required to carry out all assigned responsibilities as a school bus driver. The bus drivers license shall be either posted in a conspicuous place inside the bus or be carried on the drivers person while the bus is in operation. |
| Expected Salary: | $25-30/hour based on experience |

| Preferred: | Previous experience transporting students or driving a school bus is preferred. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with students takes pride in providing safe and dependable transportation and appreciates the flexibility of a part-time schedule. |
