This position is located in Ocala FL

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

This position is located within the Onsite Sewage Program a vital component of the Florida Department of Environmental Protections efforts to manage and protect the states water resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will serve on the Onsite Sewage Program Intake Team. Performs initial intake for permit applications and processes payment. Receives and directs phone calls from public to appropriate staff. Provides assistance to supervisor and staff that includes scanning of documents archiving of records file disposition and data entry. Creates organizes and maintains electronic files. Performs quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy of records and data files. Assists staff and the public in researching and retrieving files and data.

Performs other related duties as required.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Knowledge of entering and editing data into a computer system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to organize files and other documents.
  • Ability to work independently on assignments.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules regulations policies and procedures.
  • Ability to plan organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position of Special Trust Requirement:

This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422 Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.

Pay:

$18.00 per hour
