We arelooking for: OphthalmologyVeterinaryTechnician

Proposed Schedule: M-Th 7:30a-5:30p

TheOphthalmologyteamis unique in that itspecializes inappointment-based patient careas well asassistingandpreparing forsurgeries.Ophthalmology is afast-pacedservice with a high caseload alternatingbetweenappointment and surgery days.You couldassistwith tonometry corneal stains Schirmer tear testing as well as TPRs and chemical ablations.


Whatyoulldo:

  • Prioritize caseload and patient care andprepareandcheck charts forappropriate paperwork

  • Restrainandassistduringexaminations

  • Obtain vitals and perform ocular testing

  • Assist with Venipuncture IV Catheter placement and surgical procedures

  • Potential foradditionaltraining inanesthesiaandsedation

  • Prepare callinor create written prescriptions

  • Coordinate interdepartmental communication services patienttransfersandconsults

Who are you:

  • State Registered Veterinary Technician license

  • Prior veterinary experiencepreviousophthalmologyexperience desired

  • Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)

  • Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
