Job Summary
We are seeking an Operator I to support manufacturing operations by performing production activities maintaining accurate documentation following safety and quality procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and the ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job documentation for manufacturing cell operations and processes.
- Follow safety guidelines and use required safety equipment during all operations.
- Perform production tasks while maintaining quality standards and product traceability.
- Maintain accurate records including traveler and quality documents.
- Troubleshoot basic production issues and communicate problems and solutions effectively.
- Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on applicable equipment and tools.
- Participate in team goals performance metrics and process improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing teams supervisors and management.
- Represent the company professionally during facility tours and customer interactions.
- Follow company policies quality systems environmental requirements and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read understand and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Minimum 7th-grade English reading and comprehension level required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple job requirements.
- Ability to handle small components and parts with attention to detail.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a microscope (required for approximately 90% of Minnetonka EP positions).
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in medical device regulated manufacturing assembly or production environments.
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Additional Candidate Requirements
- Candidates must be prepared for an onsite facility tour and dress appropriately.
- Overtime is currently frequent for the Volt production lines. While overtime cannot be required for contract workers candidates should be comfortable with overtime expectations. Overtime availability would be required if converted to a permanent employee role.
