The PlantOperations Manageris responsible foroverallprocess of production at the plant. Theincumbentmanages several supervisors or leads working under the overall direction of the plant manager.The roleskey challenge is tomaintainproduction within specific guidelines for production efficiency labor cost materials usage waste amountsqualityand safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production

  • Planning directing and coordinating the manufacturing of productsin accordance withcompany goals andobjectives.
  • Establishing and controlling conditions of production in order tosatisfy customer and quality specifications.
  • Organizing and directing workflow and work processes so as tosatisfy production requirements in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Performing analysis of manufacturing materials and determiningoptimumlevels of virgin and regrind resin.

People

  • Directing the production supervisors andleads inthe execution of the plants operating plans.
  • Maintaining employee safety and morale by creating a safe efficientand positive workenvironment.
  • Maintaining proper employment levels through selecting interviewing and training ofpersonnel.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identifyingand evaluating ideas to improve the plants operations;participatingactively in process improvement cost reduction and other initiatives to continuously improve the plants operations and overall performance.
  • Developing and motivating cost-effective alternatives and improvements to theproduction process.
  • Maximizing the efficiency of production lines and ensuring the effective utilizationof all production staff and related resources.

Other

  • Workin accordance withall company policies and proceduresregardingemployment safety quality product safety and legality security and regulatory compliance as applicable.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of plastics and related process equipment in Thermoformingand Extrusion. Understanding and background in manufacturing CPETPETor PPis a strong plus.
  • High-level leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Abilityto motivate influence and train people.
  • Abilityto interact with alllevelsof Plantpersonnel.
  • Excellent verbal interpersonaland written communication skills.
  • Results orientation; high levelof personal initiativeenergyand ownership for success.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual a plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree inManufacturing Engineering ora relatedfield.
  • 10years of work experiencein a manufacturing environment with at least 5yearsof management experience.
  • Experience in managing equipment installations or process improvement projects.
  • Experience with running Thermoforming and Extrusionequipment.

Required Experience:
