The Operations Manager is responsible for assisting in the administration planning budgeting and direction for the operations of the complex including front- and back-of-house services technical services information technology conversion custodial services and equipment inventory control. Ensures an effective and cost-efficient program by controlling the Operations budget and performs related day-to-day responsibilities as required.
This role pays an annual salary of $52500 - $57500

Located in the heart of Cumberland County the Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art five-venue complex comprised of a 4500-seat arena a 9200-square-foot ballroom a 10880-seat coliseum an exposition center with 60000 square feet of unobstructed space and a 2440-seat theatre. Managed by Oak View Group the Complex is home to the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team (SPHL) and Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team (NISL) and hosts a variety of other sporting events family shows concerts and special productions year-round.
- Assists the Director of Operations in the overall daily operation and maintenance of the facilities.
- Plan direct coordinate and review the work plan for all event changeovers; review and evaluate work products methods and procedures;
- Provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; and report personnel matters to the Director of Operations to address.
- Coordinate and review the work plan for changeover and operations; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products methods and procedures.
- Assist with coordinating labor needs
- Assist the Director of Operations in the development and administration of the operations budget and forecast of additional funds needed for staffing equipment materials and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; and implement adjustments as necessary.
- Coordinate facility arrangements and monitor the work of contractors including equipment rental and borrowing city/county equipment. Report any issues to the general manager immediately.
- Ensure staff are working safely and efficiently and are aware of proper safety guidelines. Conduct monthly safety meetings.
- Order supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and maintain supplies.
- Maintain hazardous materials communication program material safety data sheets and required records and permits; maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent federal state and local regulations.
- Develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system including equipment maintenance and inventory logs.
- Adjust and optimize HVAC schedules on a weekly basis to align with facility occupancy event requirements and operational needs while maximizing system efficiency and energy performance.
- Cleaning up and putting tools and supplies back to their assigned storage areas.
- Bachelors/technical degree from an accredited college/university/school is preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred
- 3-5 years of previous experience in facility operations management.
- Minimum of one (1) year of ice arena or ice plant operation experience is preferred.
- Experience with commercial HVAC control systems and building automation systems (BAS) including operation and troubleshooting.
- Must show demonstrated knowledge and experience in work crew supervision in facility operations.
- Ability to work event nights weekends and holidays as required.
- Ability to follow written instructions interpret AutoCAD drawings and execute plans.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
- Must be able to follow orders explicitly be capable of working as part of a team and be able to work well with other individuals.
- Able to work alone if required and be able to complete tasks up to and including final cleanup and putting tools and supplies back to their assigned storage areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects when needed.
