Position Summary:

The Operations Director provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operational functions of OCYFS. This individual will analyze the efficiency of organizational operations and regulatory compliance of each program. The Operations Director will be responsible for implementing strategic quality improvement of accreditation readiness and operational excellence while allowing the Executive Director to focus on strategic growth and community partnerships.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily agency operations across all departments.
  • Internally audit departments to monitor operational performance indicators and ensure best practices are used.
  • Ensure compliance with Council on Accreditation (COA) DHS licensing state and federal laws
  • Work closely with Grants & Compliance Director.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Participate and support Performance & Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives.
  • Coordinate policy development and organizational procedures.
  • Collaborate on budgets and purchasing.
  • Oversee facilities technology risk management and safety.
  • Coordinate strategic initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration across all agency programs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive management.
  • Experience with non-profits and non-profit operations.
  • Experience with grant implementation.
  • Leadership experience is a must.
  • Supervisory experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Budget management.
  • Accreditation and compliance knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of non-profit organizations
  • Compliance analysis

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass initial and random drug screening and maintain annual TB card.
  • Must have a current Arkansas Drivers license and insurable under OCYFSs commercial vehicle insurance policy for those whose job requires provision of transportation.
  • Must receive child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry.
  • Must receive adult maltreatment clearance through Arkansas Protective Services-Adult Maltreatment Central Registry.
  • Must receive Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies.
  • Complete CPR/First aid and behavior management training when job requires working directly with clients in residence.
  • Must attend and complete all staff development trainings as required by grantors and agency
  • Must participate in agency-wide PQI program.
  • Must maintain current licensing or certification for any position that requires such.
