NorthCoast Asset Management is looking for a Operations Business Analyst to join their team. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President Operations and Compliance. The Operations Business Analyst will play a key role in compiling analyzing and delivering data and reporting packages for the firms parent company third-party business partners auditors compliance providers and senior management. The position will also support billing and revenue reporting processes provide backup coverage for investment performance reporting and assist with various operational initiatives. This role is fully in-office out of our Stamford CT office.Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Compile analyze and prepare data requests for the firms parent company senior management auditors and third-party business partners
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with operational due diligence audit requests and compliance reviews by gathering and validating supporting information
- Support compliance initiatives through data collection reconciliation documentation and reporting
- Assist with client billing processes fee calculations accounts receivable tracking and revenue reporting
- Prepare and maintain operational and financial reporting dashboards and management reports
- Coordinate with parent company finance accounting compliance risk and internal audit teams
- Provide backup support for investment performance reporting including account-level and composite performance calculations and reporting
- Perform data reconciliation and quality control reviews to ensure reporting accuracy across systems and custodians
- Research analyze and resolve operational issues involving custodians portfolio accounting systems client accounts and third-party providers
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes automate workflows and enhance operational efficiencies
- Maintain documentation for operational procedures reporting processes and internal controls
- Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Mathematics Information Systems or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large data sets and identify trends.
- High level of accuracy attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas PivotTables data analysis and report preparation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Interest in investment management financial services operations compliance or business analytics preferred.
This position is an non-exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $60000 - $65000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience subject matter expertise geographic location where work will be performed and the applicants skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including but not limited to medical dental vision life insurance and 401(k).
