As an Operations & Automation Engineering Co-op/Intern youll gain hands-on experience supporting both plant operations and automated control systems in one of manufacturing Phos acid sites. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically 36-40 hoursa week.
In person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.
What youll do
Support plant operations by troubleshooting systems and identifying root causes of process issues
Assist with optimizing production processes and improving efficiency across plant systems
Gain exposure to automation tools including PLC DCS and HMI/SCADA systems
Help analyze and improve process controls including control loops and system performance
Collaborate with engineering operations and maintenance teams on projects and system improvements
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization including management plant operators engineers (of various disciplines) tradespersons and contractors.
Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
Adhering to Mosaics mission guiding principles and priorities and key competencies.
What youll need:
Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelors in Chemical Engineering.
2.75 GPA or higher
Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
1-2 years of experience volunteering working with student/school organizations orworkis preferred.
Previousinternship or co-op experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid drivers license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Selected candidates willbe requiredto successfully completepost-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening background check physical functional capacity examination.
Basic computer skills are required
Experience working in a team environment is a must
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
