Job Summary
Merrick Inc. is looking for an organized dependable and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our team. This position provides administrative support to our Operations and Billing Bypass Service departments and plays an important role in keeping transportation communication scheduling records and day-to-day operations running smoothly.

What Youll Do
- Provide administrative support to the Operations and Billing Bypass Services departments.
- Monitor and sort transportation emails and follow through with requests.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet individuals at the transportation entrance in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain organized and accurate files.
- Complete data entry and maintain databases to ensure information is current and accurate.
- Serve as a backup liaison between transportation providers and program departments including coordinating scheduling and canceling transportation as needed.
- Provide backup support to the Transportation Manager as assigned.
- Assist with other projects and responsibilities as needed.
What Were Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong written communication skills including grammar spelling and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Experience entering organizing and maintaining data accurately.
- Ability to use Excel functions such as formulas sorting filtering and creating simple reports or charts.
- Strong general technology skills and the ability to learn new software and tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities throughout the day.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Functions
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this position. The employee must be able to continually sit and communicate throughout each day; and be able to stoop bend kneel twist run reach and regularly push or pull up to 10 pounds.
