Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: St. Johnsbury VermontPay Rate: $66/hr
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday Day Shift
Total Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years of perioperative/Operating Room experience required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a day shift assignment in St. Johnsbury VT. This role provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across all phases of the surgical experience including pre-op intraoperative and PACU recovery support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable functioning as a circulator and scrub nurse in a critical access hospital setting.
Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care across pre-op intraoperative and recovery phases
Function as circulator and scrub nurse as needed
Support safe and efficient surgical operations
Follow AORN standards facility protocols and surgical safety procedures
Participate in time-outs and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and interdisciplinary teams
Promote patient safety clinical excellence and quality surgical outcomes
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active Vermont or multi-state Registered Nurse license required
Minimum 2 years of perioperative/Operating Room experience required
BLS and ACLS required
PALS preferred/required per facility documentation
Strong clinical judgment communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to work across multiple perioperative roles
Holiday coverage required
No call requirement
Meditech experience preferred
