The Operating Room team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a fast-paced collaborative environment where nurses play an essential role in delivering exceptional surgical care. With 13 operating rooms and approximately 15-30 cases performed daily team members gain diverse procedural experience while working alongside skilled surgeons anesthesia providers and perioperative staff.

How youll contribute

A Managerwho excels in this role:

• Manages staff relations including performance management staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling staff development and student engagements.
• Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases monitors usage and oversees properly working order equipment and/or stock supplies.
• Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients staff physicians and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits and reports out to proper committees.
• Ensures the department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
• Adherence to all core measures patient safety goals and NQF safe practices.

What were looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelors degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Operating Room Manager experience preferred.
• Three or more years of Operating Room RN experience required.
