Job Description: Vacancy #: WF260134 Apply by: October 16 2026 Title:Office Assistant 2 (Calculations) Location:Parking & Mass Transit Services Salary: $44560 Grade:CSEASG-9 Hours:Monday thru Friday 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM (Pass Days Saturday/Sunday) Duration:Contingent Permanent Requirements: This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment) it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status without having to compete in an examination. Employees will thenbe afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified. NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NY HELPS): One year of experiencewhere most work time is spent performingmathematical operations and/or clerical activities related to mathematical operations. COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NY HELPS): Candidates must have a reachable score on the University at Albany Office Assistant 2 CalculationsExam ListOR Be a current NYS employee and have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as an Office Assistant 2 Calculations or in a title eligible to transfer to Office Assistant 2 CalculationsOR Be a former NYS employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Office Assistant 2 Calculations May be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at the time of appointment.
