Occupational Therapist

InReach Rehab is seeking a flexible and dedicated full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Taos NM. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine functional needs goals and treatment priorities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence safety and daily function.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to improve ADLs IADLs strength coordination cognition and mobility.
  • Fabricate fit or recommend adaptive equipment and educate patients and caregivers on its use.
  • Document evaluations progress notes and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide coordinated patient-centered care.
  • Supervise and mentor COTAs while directing patient treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on home programs safety strategies and functional independence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives professional development and a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or anticipated graduation).
  • Current New MexicoOT license or eligibility for licensure upon graduation.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and evaluation skills.
  • Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes.
  • Experience in rural healthcare or a passion for serving rural communities.
  • Comfort supervising and collaborating with COTAs.
  • Strong documentation and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
