PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of:Applicable treatment modalities and theory for the pediatric populationCPR Certification with six (6) months of employmentFirst AideAbility to:Possess an appropriate California operators license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles and be insurableInteract with and maintain cooperative relationships with all levels of staff and the publicCommunicate effectively in English language both orally and in writingCommunicate occupational therapy treatment techniques and goals effectively to parents teachers doctors and other program staffDocument and quantify objectives for OT InterventionSpeak and write the Spanish languageEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or universityAt least six (6) months of AOTA approved clinical affiliationMust have passed the American Occupational Therapy Association Registration examination and maintain current AOTA RegistrationExperience in treatment and evaluation of children with developmental delays neurological and orthopedic disabilities and perceptual disabilities desirable
