Join an elite outpatient Hand Therapy OT team in one of the largest clinics in the Bronx where youll treat a diverse complex caseload across adult and pediatric orthopedics while working closely with surgeons at Montefiore Medical Center and contributing to cutting-edge research in a highly specialized clinical environment. - Reviewing patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans
- Diagnosing patients by observing movements and listening to concerns
- Using exercises stretching equipment and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility
- Recording patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
- CPR and first aid certification required
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)strongly preferredOR
- CHT-eligible(minimum4000 hours of hand therapy experienceand3 years of practice)awaiting board examinationOR
- Level II fieldwork in hand therapy withrelevant continuing education and12 years of outpatient hand therapy experienceas alicensed OT OR
- New grads with Level II fieldwork in hand therapy with a a strong clinical interest in upper extremity rehabilitation and a commitment to pursuing advanced training and certification in hand therapy
- Experience inorthopedic hand therapy treating both adult and pediatric patients is required.
